LASER HAIR REMOVAL

Not only will you be saving time and money once you finish your sessions, you will no longer have to time your waxing or shaving. It really is the best investment in yourself!
We use the state-of-the-art Lumenis Lightsheer Duet system which is equipped with two heads emitting diode laser light with a wavelength of 800 nm that enables high-speed and safe treatment, also in patients with dark complexion and tanned skin. Treatments are more effective and quicker that other laser machines. The Lumenis Lightsheer has a long proven track record of being highly effective.
FAQ
Q:How does the Lightsheer Duet work to permanently remove hair?
A:The high speed LightSheer DUET is a laser that produces a larger beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted is well absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, allowing the hair to absorb the light and heat up. As it heats up, the hair shaft and bulb are damaged which significantly impedes its ability to re-grow. And with the large spot size, the process treats numerous hair follicles simultaneously, making the treatment much faster than traditional laser hair removal alternatives. The LightSheer DUET offers two handpiece choices depending on your needs. The LightSheer High Speed hand piece uses integrated vacuum-assisted technology in combination with diode laser light to allow rapid and comfortable treatment of large areas. A back or legs can now be treated in 15 to 20 minutes, without the need for cooling or anesthetics. The LightSheer DUET also offers your physician the gold standard LightSheer ET™ handpiece with ChillTip® cooling for smaller areas. The LightSheer DUET allows your physician to truly customize treatment for your hair type, skin type and lifestyle.
Q:Is its painful?
A:Most of our client report minor discomfort similar to a band snap. Depending on the area being treated, it is very manageable. This device employs a unique vacuum-assisted technology that brings the skin in closer to the light. This means that less energy is required to treat the hair, making it a safer treatment with fewer side effects. There is little to no pain with this vacuum feature as the nerve fibres are stretched, which inhibits pain perception.
Keeping in mind that every client has a different pain tolerance, we suggest sensitive clients to purchase EMLA and put it on the treated area 45-60 minutes beforehand.
Q:How long does the procedure take?
A:Treatment times are now shorter than ever with the Duet. Depending on the area being treated, the timing can range from 5 minutes for the bikini area to 20 minutes for full leg.
Q:How much does it cost?
A:We take our laser procedure safety and quality very seriously. Depending on which area of the body is treated, each session can cost between $40 and $250, depending on the areas being treated. Our Price list can be found under our services or online booking platform.
Q:Will I need multiple treatments?
A:Because hair grows in phases, a series of treatments will be needed as new hair enters the growth phase. We recommend 6-8 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart long-term results.
Q:Is there any downtime?
A:Laser hair removal has no downtime and you can return to your daily routine immediately.
Q:Are there any adverse effects?
A:In some patients, the treated area may become red and show some swelling around each follicle. These disappear within 3 days.
Q:How long does it last?
A:Treatments provide permanent reduction of hair. Although certain medications and pregnancy can stimulate new hair growth, you can always do a maintenance session should the need arise.
Q:Is laser hair removal safe?
A: Yes. Laser hair removal is very safe when performed by an experienced provider.
